Spain unbeaten in 34 straight matches, one shy of all-Time record

In the 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 16, Spain will face Portugal. Spain is unbeaten in its last 34 matches, just one game shy of its longest unbeaten streak in history.

The Spanish national team has been unbeaten in 34 consecutive matches, with a record of 25 wins and 9 draws (penalty shootouts are counted as draws), and is just one match away from equaling the team's longest unbeaten streak of 35 matches. That record was set between February 2007 and June 2009.

Among European national teams, only Italy has had a longer unbeaten streak, remaining unbeaten in 37 consecutive matches between 2018 and 2021.
