Como coach facing international crisis as Senegal fans furious over Diao claims

Senegal fans have flooded Cesc's social media accounts after comments made following defeat to Roma on Monday. 

Diao was forced off with injury and now appears set to miss Senegal's AFCON campaign. An adductor injury is set to leave the 20 year-old sidelined for some time.

After the game, Cesc revealed an "unpleasant conversation" with Senegal coach Pape Thiaw over Diao before the game.

He said, "I asked for some common sense, please, not to take him (to the Africa Cup of Nations) because in eight months he's only played three games, half-baked.

"If he leaves, we'll pay his wages and find ourselves with a player out.

"He told me that if he doesn't go with them to the Africa Cup of Nations, he won't go to the World Cup."

After his comments, Cesc is now experiencing a furious online backlash from Senegal fans just days away from AFCON's kickoff.
