Media: Morocco coach Regragui reportedly submits resignation

 Just a few weeks after the Africa Cup of Nations, Walid Regragui wants to step down from his position as Moroccan national coach.

According to FT information, the 50-year-old has handed in his resignation due to exhaustion. It remains to be seen whether the Moroccan Football Federation will accept the decision.Regragui took over the Lions from Atlas in August 2022 and sensationally led them to the semi-finals at the World Cup in Qatar a few months later. On January 18 of this year, the North Africans lost the Africa Cup of Nations final in their own country in dramatic fashion against Senegal (0:1).
