OFFICIAL: Real Soceidad signs Norwegian star Thomas Leikanger

Real Sociedad officially announced the signing of Aalesund FK striker Thomas Leikanger.

Born on February 23, 2010, in Norway, Leikanger received football training at both SK Herd and Aalesund. A Norwegian with Brazilian heritage, he currently plays for Norway's youth national teams.

Primarily playing as a center forward and attacking midfielder, Leikanger demonstrated exceptional scoring efficiency in youth competitions, netting 193 goals across 133 matches.

Last season, at just 15 years old, Leikanger earned starting time with Aalesund's reserve team, attracting attention from several top European clubs. Real Sociedad ultimately won the race to sign him. The club formalized the contract immediately after Leikanguer turned 16.

Leikanger cites Martin Ødegaard and Alexander SØrloth as his idols—both players previously featured for Real Sociedad.
