AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Arrive Rabat Ahead of Semi-Final Clash with Morocco

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Rabat ahead of their highly anticipated semi-final clash against hosts Morocco at the ongoing tournament.

The team, led by head coach Éric Chelle, touched down in the Moroccan capital on Monday evening after a road journey from Fès.

The contingent departed Fès and arrived Rabat at about 5:05pm local time, with the trip lasting approximately two hours and 30 minutes.

Players and officials are camped at the luxurious Rihab Hotel, which will serve as the team’s base as preparations intensify for the crucial last-four showdown against the Atlas Lions.

As part of their build-up, the Super Eagles will hold their first training session in Rabat later tonight at the Complexe Mohammed VI.

The session is scheduled to be behind closed doors, allowing the technical crew to fine-tune tactical plans away from public view.

Nigeria booked their place in the semi-finals with an impressive run of performances, while Morocco, buoyed by home support, are expected to provide a stern test.

With both sides eyeing a place in the final, Tuesday’s encounter promises to be a high-stakes battle between two African heavyweights.

The Super Eagles will be aiming to maintain their momentum and overcome the host nation as they chase continental glory.
